HELP !!

HAHS always has a need for additional foster homes within our network of volunteers. Please consider taking in an adoptable animal for a short time. Doing so could very literally save its life!

The Heart of America Humane Society is a well-established and registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to place animals into permanent homes. Without a facility or paid staff, HAHS relies on its all-volunteer network of caring individuals to carry out its mission.

How is HAHS different?
Many of our animals are cared for temporarily in the "foster homes" of volunteers. This gives us the ability to build a history with them, observing and evaluating their behavior and traits outside of an intimidating shelter environment. That foster knowledge helps create a better match between an animal's personality and the home situation of a new owner.

Animals available for adoption can be found either in our Petfinder.com listings, visited during the week at selected pet stores, or seen first hand at rotating, weekend "Adopt-a-Pet" locations:

The PDF version of the MAY newsletter is now available from our Downloads page, with links to archived issues.
When you search for general information across the entire Web, please register and use GoodSearch.com. HAHS receives a small donation for every registered search - and they really do add up!
It's always a good time to make a gift to HAHS. Our Donations page gives you several options (which all count as charitable deductions).
